terrain park instructor training program
The Professional Ski Instructors of Canada (PSIC) is proud to announce an exciting new collaboration with Park Labs, aimed at enhancing instructor training and safety within terrain park environments across Canada. Launching in the 2025/26 ski season, this partnership introduces two purpose-built programs: ParkNav and ParkPlay.
parknav
The ParkNav module introduces and exposes the dynamics of the terrain park environment and the important considerations required to ensure that instructors make well informed decisions regarding Terrain Park use. Safe navigation of terrain parks will minimize risk for students, themselves and other park users while taking advantage of the fun, intrigue and adventure that the Park environment can provide for a student. ParkNav is not designed to teach skills and tricks in the park environment. Skill development and certification of Terrain Park instructors can be accessed in the ParkPlay Certification Course also available through the PSIC.
Driven by the PSIC's focus on the Adventure - Fun Safe Learning, the ParkNav Module takes an in depth look at minimizing risk of injury for both students and instructors.
