Some current themes include:
-
Ski Improvement: Our advanced ski improvement session is about precision, power, and flow. We’ll kick off with a quick review of your goals before diving into on-snow exercises designed to refine your movements and increase your efficiency. Think high-performance carving on firm snow, dynamic short turns through moguls, and seamless line selection in variable terrain. Throughout the session, you'll receive personalized feedback, including on-the-spot video analysis, to help you see and feel the subtle adjustments that make a huge difference.
-
Ski Improvement - Bumps: Our advanced bump session is all about rhythm, control, and adapting to dynamic terrain. We'll start with an on-snow analysis of your current technique before diving into specific drills designed to enhance your skills, and line selection. Think of it as a masterclass in reading the bumps— learning to link turns seamlessly, absorb impacts with quiet confidence, and navigate the most challenging lines with ease. Through targeted feedback and on-the-spot video analysis, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how subtle adjustments to your stance and movement can make a massive difference in your efficiency and flow.
-
Teach Improvement: This one-day session is a deep dive into the PSIC Technical Blueprint, designed to elevate your ability to assess and develop students. You'll learn to apply the purpose-based approach to create functional skiing, driven by student-centered, situation-specific teaching. The session will guide you in connecting your observations of the ski-to-snow interaction and the skier's movements to the three core control skills: rotational, edge, and pressure control. By incorporating on-the-spot video feedback, we'll give you a new tool to identify and communicate with precision what a skier is doing and how they are impacting the ski. By the end of the day, you'll be able to make well-informed decisions about where to focus your development efforts, using a non-prescriptive approach that leads to functional skiing in any situation.
-
CARV: Our advanced Ski Improvement session is about achieving technical precision, power, and flow by leveraging objective data. We'll integrate the CARV data with world class trainers, transforming abstract concepts into measurable reality.
We'll kick off with a quick review of your personal skiing goals and an introduction to the CARV Ski:IQ™ metrics—specifically pressure, edge angle, and balance—that we'll target throughout the day. You'll dive into on-snow exercises designed to refine your movements, immediately seeing how subtle adjustments impact your score. Think high-performance carving on firm snow, dynamic short turns through bumps, and seamless line selection in variable terrain, all while optimizing your real-time data.
We will use the immediate, quantified feedback from CARV (via the audio coach and app) in conjunction with traditional on-the-spot video analysis. This dual approach allows you to see and feel the subtle adjustments while simultaneously measuring their effect.
Note: participants on CARV Adventure Days are required to have their own CARV units and active subscription.
We are working to add more Adventure Days programs at more resorts. If you have an idea for a session theme or a request for a specific resort, please email us and let us know. We love to hear from you!
