September 25, 2023 – The Professional Ski Instructors of Canada (PSIC) is excited to share preliminary details on its membership offering for the 2023/24 season.

 

PSIC membership for 2023/24 includes: 

• $99 annual membership fee

• Access to PSIC program registration

• Launch Offer – for a limited time, all new PSIC members will receive a $50 credit to use toward training and certification courses during the 2023/24 season.

• Pro deals with manufacturers such as The North Face, Smartwool, Flaxta, Varga and more. A  growing list of partners is in development, watch for more updates on both hard goods and soft goods coming soon!

• The Method – the PSIC’s student-centered and evidence-informed instructor training system, where science meets practicality in Skiing, Teaching and Trainer development for the industry.

• The Ski Pro Institute – the PSIC’s division for higher learning, offering members training & education from global thought leaders and experts in their field, and a zero ceiling educational pathway that supports lifelong learning and progression.

• Access to sophisticated digital learning tools and resources.

• Participation in a progressive and industry-aligned organization, which prioritizes openness and inclusivity. We welcome all PSIC members to retain their membership in other domestic and international organizations.

The PSIC’s certification pathway includes four levels of Professional Instructor certification, as well as Licensed Professional Trainer (LPT) certification. Any member of any organization will be able to directly enter the PSIC pathway at the corresponding equivalency level from their current organization. More details on training and certification courses, including pricing and how to book, will also be available in mid-October.

Calling all trainers!  PSIC Licensed Professional Trainer training is coming!

​

The PSIC is gearing up for our inaugural Licensed Professional Trainer training. PSIC LPT training is open to anyone who has course conductor status in any other organization, domestic or international (e.g. CSIA Level 1-4 Course Conductor, PSIA Trainer, APSI Trainer, BASI Trainer, etc.) and is a member of the PSIC. Participation in this annual training will be required to be contracted to deliver PSIC programs.

The PSIC does not require exclusivity from its Licensed Professional Trainers. The PSIC values and respects the ski professional and the integral role that the LPT plays in expert delivery of training programs and professional development for PSIC members.  As such, the PSIC is investing in LPT training and providing it at zero cost to qualifying members. Full details on the 2023 LPT training will be released shortly.

The PSIC team continues to grow and we are working hard to deliver a great program this season. We can’t wait to ski with you this winter!
