Prioritizing people and the planet is important to us. At the heart of the PSIC lies not just a passion for skiing, but a deep-seated commitment to making the world of ski instruction accessible and inclusive for all. We are also committed to protecting the mountain environments we all play in.  Through our initiatives we strive to drive impactful change in areas that are important to our mission.

The PSIC is actively working on meaningful projects that truly make a difference, and we are only just getting started! Our efforts are focused in these three key areas:

Developing Youth

At the PSIC, we recognize that the vibrant future of ski instruction hinges on the enthusiasm and involvement of the youth. Our commitment to shaping the ski instructors of tomorrow is unwavering, and we're dedicated to making careers in ski instruction both accessible and appealing to young enthusiasts. Through the development of innovative programs and thoughtful pricing strategies, we aim to open doors for youth, fostering their passion for skiing and guiding them towards fulfilling careers in the industry. Our initiatives are designed to not only attract young talent but to also equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive as future leaders in ski instruction.

Supporting and Encouraging Under-represented Groups in Snowsports

The PSIC is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the snowsports community. Recognizing the importance of representation and accessibility, we actively work towards supporting and encouraging under-represented groups in the industry. Whether it's enhancing the presence of female instructors, embracing all gender identities, welcoming more Indigenous peoples and people of colour, or accommodating divergent learners, we are dedicated to making positive, impactful changes. By implementing targeted programs and initiatives, we aim to create a more inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone in snowsports, reflecting the richness and diversity of our community.

Protecting Our Natural Environment

The PSIC is acutely aware of the critical importance of preserving our winters and natural environments for future generations. In our fight against climate change, we are taking decisive action through education, partnerships, and direct involvement in sustainability efforts. Our commitment extends beyond mere awareness, as we actively engage in projects and collaborations designed to protect the winter landscapes we cherish. By uniting the snowsports community in this vital cause, the PSIC endeavors to ensure that our beloved mountains and snowsports can be enjoyed by all for years to come, safeguarding the legacy of our winters against the challenges of climate change.
